This is a gorgeous bauble of sea glass that is smooth, rounded, and in near flawless shape. It contains two layers of warm browns against a backdrop of a light grey shade. This piece was backlit to show off its colors.

The multicolored look originates when molten glass in different shades, was mixed together. This unwanted chunk was then discarded into the sea. The piece has spent many decades in the surf being shaped and conditioned naturally.

This sea glass gem measures 1.8cm tall x 1.1 cm wide, and .6 cm thick. It was found on a rocky beach along England's North Sea. The photo with a U.S. dime also shows the backside of the gem.
