This unique sea glass piece has a thick, and smooth oval shape. It features the rarest sea glass in red and swirls of deep magenta etc. The layered specimen gives the appearance of a dark red wave in the ocean.
The North Sea has tumbled this piece into a flawless, pristine gem. It measures just over 2.5cm at its longest length. The historical relic was beachcombed from along a seashore in England.
The swirled look originates from when multiple colors of glass were mixed together during the molten stage. Whether the original glass was created as an artistic piece or was from an industrial bottle-works site, it has resulted in a multi-hued chunk that was discarded into the sea. The piece spent many decades thereafter in the surf being shaped and conditioned.
It will arrive with a card that tells the short story of sea glass and the name of the ocean where it was beachcombed.
