This gorgeous specimen of multicolored sea glass was found on a North Sea beach in England and is perfectly worn and shaped by the ocean. It features multiple shades of red layered through the piece. At first glance it may look like solid red sea glass, which is amazing in itself. Upon closer inspection however, the layers are seen and show quite the stunning masterpiece of nature.

The layered look originates from multiple colors of glass that were mixed together when in the molten stage. Whether the original glass was created as an artistic piece or was from an industrial bottle-works site, it has resulted in a multi-hued chunk that was discarded into the sea. The piece spent many decades thereafter in the surf being shaped and conditioned.

The gem is bezel set with .999 fine silver and soldered to a hand cut and polished sterling silver backplate. The sea glass measures about 5/8-inch-long. The 3mm wide, rope patterned sterling silver ring band will fit a size 6.5 finger.
