These two pieces of deep, garnet red sea glass were found along beaches on the Caribbean Sea and matched together in our studio. The glorious red color is illuminated when backlit, as shown in the photos.
We have bezel set the 1/2-inch wide beach gems in sterling silver with open backs for optimal light to travel through the glass. Base metal flower beads dangle below, and the earrings hang from French hook ear wires. The look is antiqued by slightly darkening the silver. The total length of each earring is approximately 1.5 inches.
