I am now blessed to have lived right on the beach for the past 15 years. The resident, Native American tribe named the town I live in for it's calm waters. My beach sits in the sunbelt of the Olympic Peninsula between the waters of the Strait of Juan De Fuca and the Olympic Mts.
It is along the miles of rocky inlets, islands and coves of the most remote parts of the Pacific Ocean that I have been hunting for sea glass treasures for decades.
My Pacific journey takes me far north where the tides are dramatic and long on some days. Plus stony shores and remote beaches make for three positive factors for sea glass hunters. My husband Todd, is an educator who specializes in Pacific Northwest History. I have learned much about the past peoples, waters, and mariner history of the area from him. More>
