With the passage of time, sea glass is becoming more rare and more difficult to find.  Because of environmental concerns, people aren't using glass as much any more and are not throwing it as trash into our oceans.

That factor mixed with the reality that glass is, on some beaches around the globe, becoming pummled as small as fine sand, puts us currently within "sea glass' moment".  There will never be a time in history for sea glass like today. 

Some sea glass finds truly have become nature's recycled gems.
